Thanks for posting. It's interesting to see that this Afro-Peruvian revival project was founded in 2004 by Eve A. Ma, a former history professor (per the YouTube video summary). In the readings we did, it seemed like there wasn't much of an Afro-Peruvian music or dance culture in Peru itself. However, it appears to have taken on a life of its own more recently and in other territories. Even though there may not be a very strong cultural bond among Afro-Peruvians in Peru, these revivalist movements certainly help preserve the traditional music and dance culture as displayed in this video.
